Dr. Johnson called me around 4:30 today. He says that Bubba has colon cancer. We’re going to do a second biopsy tomorrow to be sure. This is crushing.

Definately crushing. I am so sorry. I have been following your blog since the fall of Alliance and Financial. I worked for both. I was with ATC when you were, in fact you interviewed me.
Anyway, my heart goes out to you. Just wondering if there seems to be a rise in cancer for our beloved pets. My parents Golden and Australian Shepard both died of bone and liver cancer within 2 months of each other.
Of course I remember. I know Dobermans and Goldens have a high incidence of cancer, it’s in the two breeds pretty bad. I’m just so shocked by all of this, he’s only two. He still has puppy fur around his muzzle.
So sorry to hear this. I feel as though Rita and Bubba are my “cyber dogs” and I have grown very attached to them through your column. Take care.
